Tyche is the nickname given to a case of gas giant planet located in the Oort cloud, the solar system, first proposed in 1999 by astronomer John Matese of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Matese and Whitmire colleague Daniel argues that the evidence of the existence of Tyche can be seen in an alleged bias in the points of origin of long-period comets. They noted that Tyche, if any, should be detectable in data files that were collected throughout the field Infrared Survey Explorer NASA (WISE) of the telescope. However, many astronomers expressed skepticism about the existence of this object. The analysis in the next two years will be needed to determine whether in fact a world WISE detected or not .
