Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (commonly abbreviated as Law & Order: SVU, or simply SVU) is an American police drama television series set in New York with the procedure, which is mainly produced. To create and Dick Wolf and NBC aired the first series of 20 September 1999, the first spin-off from Wolf, a successful crime drama, Law & Order. The show began airing its 13th season in September 2011 and has produced 273 episodes to date.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit was originally focused almost exclusively Special Victims Unit detectives of the Court is a fictional version of the 16 Precinct in New York City Police Department (NYPD). The series was nominated for and won numerous awards including the Emmy Award for 2006-Best Actress in a Drama Series for Hargitay, the Emmy first to be received by a regular series to all Law & Order.

From the thirteenth season, Melon, who could not get along with his contract, will leave the series. Hargitay asked for a light workload, will continue his role as Detective Benson. , NBC announced that Kelli and Danny Pino Giddish, with a new cast as the lead detective.
