V for Vendetta

V for Vendetta is a series of ten books written comic theme by Alan Moore and illustrated mostly by David Lloyd, set in a dystopian future imagined in the UK in the 1980s about the 1990s. A mysterious revolutionary who calls himself "V" works to destroy the totalitarian government, profoundly affecting the people he meets. Warner Bros. released a film adaptation of V for Vendetta in 2006.

The series shows a near future in the UK, after a nuclear war that left much of the world destroyed, but most of the damage in the country is indirect, through failures and flooding of crops . In this future, a fascist party called "Norsefire" has destroyed his opponents in concentration camps and now rules the country like a police state. "V", an anarchist revolutionary dressed in a Guy Fawkes mask, begins an elaborate campaign, violent and theatrical intent to murder his former captors, to overthrow the government, and convince people to govern themselves.
