Peyton Manning 1 Phil Simm - 0

Last week, former NFL quarterback Phil Simms had some choice comments regarding Peyton Manning‘s desire to play this season and the Colts chances of drafting consensus #1 pick Andrew Luck if/when Manning is healthy. Here’s what Simms had to say:

“There is no way if Peyton Manning is given a clean bill of health — I’m going to go on that assumption — that he is going to let them draftAndrew Luck.” Partly, Simms suggests, that’s because Manning might then find it hard to keep his job: “In this day and age, even with Peyton Manning, people would be crying, ‘We’ve got to see Andrew Luck.’”

“I don’t talk to Phil,” Manning said, via Phillip B. Wilson of the Indianapolis Star.  “Phil doesn’t talk to me.  He did text me after that, saying ‘Hey, sorry to drag your name into this.’  I wrote back, ‘Phil I don’t know what you’re talking about.’  He said, ‘Well on my show, Inside the NFL, I made this statement.’  I said, ‘Phil, I hate to break it to you, but I don’t watch your show, along with a lot of other people that I don’t think watch that show.’  Giving himself a little more credit than probably was merited.”

Well Phil, your move.  If Peyton didn't know about the comments why was he so angry right away and clown on the show?

Maybe he just is just quick like that.  Like if I was like "tough game Peyton" he would be all like "well nice life you have built for yourself Les.  Arent you do for a quick jerk off session followed by posting about some hot chicks you will never meet while eating pepperoni slices"  To which I walk away crying, mumbling "it was a Slim Jim" under my breath.
