This is a little shady

South Carolina opening day starting quarterback Stephan Garcia has been kicked off the team, according to a release from the school.
Garcia, a fifth year starter, had been troubled all season by poor play culminating in his benching last weekend by coach Steve Spurrier.
“We are all saddened that this has occurred,” Spurrier said. “We all feel like we’ve given Stephen numerous opportunities to be a student-athlete here at South Carolina. Obviously, he has chosen not to follow the guidelines of his reinstatement contract. We wish him the best.”
Garcia has numerous off-field issues, but was tabbed the top QB by the OBC at the start of the season.

He does have 5 violations and was thought to be kicked off before the season started.  But Spurrier had no other Qb ready to go and Garcia was supposed to be on of the better QBs in the conference.  He played shitty and got canned and they blamed the alcohol violations.

Sometimes you get pegged for alcohol violations/arrests even though you are not doing anything different then everyone around you, trust me on that one.
