Spencer Ware and Tyrann Mathieu, the two best players for top-ranked LSU, have been suspended from Saturday’s Auburn game for failing a university-mandated drug test, according to The Daily Reveille in Baton Rouge, La.
LSU coach Les Miles is expected to address the suspensions today at 7 p.m. ET in a regularly scheduled press conference.
The Reveille reports that the punishment could eventually become multiple-game suspensions. If they are multiple-game suspensions, it could affect the Nov. 5 showdown with second-ranked Alabama.
LSU has a bye week after the Auburn game, and before the much-hyped game at Tuscaloosa.
I really hope the drugs in question are recreational (well cause those are the best kind duh?). But mostly cause Mathieu is a beast and I would hate for it be performance enhancing drugs.
