[News] Alice Eve to star on 'Entourage'

She’s Out Of My League star Alice Eve has been tapped for a four-episode arc on the upcoming final season of the HBO comedy series Entourage. In a role created for her, she will play a journalist assigned to write a profile piece on Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) who subsequently becomes a possible love interest for the actor. Brit Eve, repped by UTA, U.K’s ARG and Untitled, recently wrapped Men in Black III and next stars in Rogue Pictures’ The Raven and Lionsgate’s ATM.

Alice Eve (She’s Out of My League) will be playing a younger version of Olivia, the MiB headquarters chief who will also be played by Emma Thompson in present day. Back in 1969 (where the time travel plot takes place), Olivia was hired as a secretary for the agency and while she’s definitely sexy, she can back it up with smarts too. Surely she’ll run into Agent J (Will Smith) and young Agent K (Josh Brolin) as MiB has to save the world once again.
Principal photography began on November 16, 2010, it was originally slated to commence on October 18, 2010 and continue until May 2011 in New York.However, filming has now been split into two parts the first taking place from November to December 2010 filming the majority of the present day scenes, before a two month break till mid-February where filming will resume to finish filming the remaining sections.Rumors initially stated that filming was delayed due to issues with the film’s script, though producers have denied this saying instead that the filming was delayed to take advantage of New York tax incentives and to film scenes in warmer weather. Producer Walter F. Parkes has said that they must begin filming before 2010 ends to benefit from the tax incentives, and picking up in February allows them to film some needed scenes in the warmer spring climate. The first set photos for the film turned up online on November 17, 2010 showing Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, Emma Thompson, and Nicole Scherzinger on the set of the film.

Eve was born in London, England, the daughter of actors Trevor Eve and Sharon Maughan. She has two younger brothers, Jack and George, and was raised in the United Kingdom and Los Angeles, United States. She attended Bedales and then did her A-Levels at Westminster School in London. During her gap year, she studied at the Beverly Hills Playhouse and then English at St Catherine’s College, Oxford. While at Oxford she appeared in student productions of An Ideal Husband, Animal Crackers (which toured to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival), Scenes from an Execution and The Colour of Justice.

Eve has starred in television dramas including the BBC’s The Rotters’ Club, Poirot and Hawking, as well as the film Stage Beauty (2004).

Eve played significant roles in two 2006 films: Starter for 10 and Big Nothing (with both her and co-star Simon Pegg using American accents). She spent the early part of 2006 in India working on a new drama mini-series Losing Gemma about backpackers.

Eve has appeared in two plays, both directed by Trevor Nunn. In 2006 she appeared in Rock ‘n’ Roll, a new play by Tom Stoppard at the Royal Court Theatre and reprised her role in the 2007 Broadway transfer. For her performance she was nominated for the best supporting actress award at the Whatsonstage.com Theatregoers’ Choice Awards. In 2009 she played Roxane in a production of Cyrano de Bergerac at the Chichester Festival Theatre.

She appeared in the 2010 U.S. film She’s Out of My League (in the film, her parents play the roles of her character’s parents) and will appear in the 2010 U.S. film Sex and the City 2.

Eve also aspires to be a screenwriter. Eve said that her grandmother Betsy was her biggest inspiration out of everyone in her life. “My grandma Betsy was just always there for me” she told reporter Abie Mishaan for Esquire Magazine. Grandma Betsy died in September 2007 and it was extremely difficult for Alice.

Eve lives in London and New Jersey . She has dated Ben Adams and Rafe Spall whom she met while working on The Rotters Club. She was once named sixth most eligible woman in Britain by Tatler magazine. In 2001 she dated Phil Lin from Rancid. In April 2009 she started dating a poet, Adam O’Riordan, whom she met when they were both undergraduates at Oxford. She also has two different color eyes (heterochromia), one blue and one green.
